Video link containing mod and typing demo at bottom.

I recently purchased a Datalux SS knowing full-well that the switches were shit. I loved the look.

Was initially going to hand-wire some better switches in, yadayada, but figured I'd try to come up with something for the existing switches.

Many nights of restless sleep while thinking up solutions later, I had an epiphany: "Just yank one of the fuckers out."

And so I did.

Immediate difference. Enjoyable linears with a slight tactility from the band, but way less actuation force (half) needed.

I spent more nights thinking how to get a click out of the switch with some tiny magnets and drilling or maybe a spring with some bump on the stem for a clickbar thing-AAAAAA. Was tired of thinking.

Look, just trust me. If you ever held off on getting this bad boy, fear not --

You too, can have your Datalux MEI "shit"ches "MEI-d Better".

(Just be sure it's the right model -- can't help you with the white rubber band thing)

Thoughts/concerns for my mental well-being appreciated. Hope someone gets something out of this.
