Hi there,
Inside the Model F XT Cable, you will find wires coated in Brown, White, Red, and Black. These cables are for 5v, Data, Clock, and Ground, but I could not find which color corresponds to which function anywhere on the internet. If someone could help me out with this, I would be forever grateful!

By the way, I tried to figure out which was which by correlating the color of the wire with the position in the din plug and this immage http://www.kbdbabel.org/conn/kbd_connector_ibmpc.png, but it didn't work.

Red = Ground
White = Data
Black = Clock
Note of caution: Colours may vary, but the pin sequence on the XT connector (the blue one that goes into the XT Controller) will be the same.

There is no specific standard in colour coding. If you mess up the VCC to the wrong pin you may have fried the components...Haquilus wrote: ↑11 Aug 2020, 04:18By the way, I tried to figure out which was which by correlating the color of the wire with the position in the din plug and this immage http://www.kbdbabel.org/conn/kbd_connector_ibmpc.png, but it didn't work.
