I welcome all members. At once I apologize for my English, that I can not. I am new to the forum is my first post. I am writing it because with my new project which is programmed keyboard Tipro so as to easily and ergonomically control my router cnc Mach3 program encountered at an insurmountable problem for me, a complete novice. After many hours, I was able to start the keyboard and see it in the midwin. But the problem is the inability to program any sort of the other keys than letters and numbers. What am I doing wrong, I do not know. Do I need a keyboard with PS2 plugged into the socket Tipro or elsewhere is the problem? Please help

Welcome!
I'm not too familiar with the Tipro software, could you perhaps post a screenshot of what the exact problem is?
kbdfr is the resident Tipro expert, maybe he can help here.

Hi, welcome!
Don't worry about your English!
A bit more info about the problem would be great!
Make sure you are using 32-bit Windows!PS/2 Tipros and 64-bit don't mix!
You don't need a keyboard connected to the Tipro, the problem is definitely not there. Are you using a Tipro cable?

I have a win-32 bit, I already had time to learn this, I spent a lot of hours, just so I could detect the keyboard by the program, what I did, but the cable Ishi not original. Strange to me is that some of the keys can programmed and others can not

I suppose your keyboard has been recognized by the software,
you have chosen the key position you want to program and opened the corresponding input window,
have positioned the cursor in the "Layer 1" field, which now shows a blue background.
If you now press the usual "Alt R" combo, LEFTALT+R should now appear in red letters while the background of the input field turns yellow.
Does that happen?
And by the way, which version of the software are you using?

Thank you very much for your interest.
Everything you wrote, just as I do, but nothing appears in the window, does not work at all scan code, in this mode, I can not be programmed using a standard keyboard scan code only responds if I press already programmed key on the keyboard Tipro. in "ascii entry" can be programmed only letters and numbers. MIDWIN version is 3.0.9 November 09, 2000

I believe Tiproman (kbdfr) can help with that. I probably have it somewhere saved, but I can't find it.
Edit: are you sure 5.20.03 doesn't work?
It should work on 32-bit according to Tipro.

Thank you for forcing me to try again with a changeme. For the first time I tried it with it, then I got bluescreen, installed now again and it works beautifully, at least on the first key combinations. I thought only with midwnim I can try with such an old keyboard, and yet there was something of installing changeme. when im program the keys and I get the keys quadro and a double.i willshow the result. by the way. somebody know where I can buy these quadro and dobel keys?

Glad to see the evening shift already solved your problem
Double and quadruple caps shouldn't be a problem, just specify what you need,
but I'm not sure you are referring to the "old" configuration of your keyboard or rather to what you want.
You can redefine quadruple/double/simple keys as you like.

Your keyboard (the left unit on your pic) now obviously has 64 single keys. The program allows you to define two adjacent keys are a double key, and four having a common "corner" as a quadruple key. You will then need the corresponding caps. Tell me exactly what you need, I should have enough of them for you.
Are you aware there exists a plastic jointer with which you can assemble both units to build a single keyboard?
Here again I can help.

I could take 8 quadruple and 8 double. so that I had if need, for the future. That's my keyboard and the keys that are the same, I would like just to make double. Last one in a row which is reset I would like to have quad. and maybe this is nice idea of merging the two keyboards, so I can do second one to write programs for the CNC, all G-codes. Then I needed a 64 caps for the other keyboards. how much would it cost? One small issue. how would you sent it to me? I live in Norway

smouki I can't see the image in your last post, perhaps the privacy settings on it are not correct? Perhaps try attaching the image to the post using the "upload" feature.

I can sell you 8 quadruple keys, but only 4 double keys (I don't have many of those and would like to keep them in case someone really needs them).
I take it you mean single caps? But I can see some on the second board. Or do you mean just the transparent lids?[…] Then I needed a 64 caps for the other keyboards. […]
Wouldn't cost very much, I still have to figurehow much would it cost? One small issue. how would you sent it to me? I live in Norway
And to send them to you, I would prefer beaming, but the old-fashioned postal service might be an option

So glad to hear you got this working!
I don't know too much with CNC work but I do know that there is still some relatively small number of folks who use G code to program the machinery directly. This seems like a great application for a Tipro board.
I spend most of my days writing C code which was specifically targeted for ANSI terminals. If anything I wish that I had a second row above the numerals so I didn't have to hit Shift so often but even so that would simply result in having to reach up another row. If I were, for example, writing LaTeX all day with all sorts of funny symbols I would think of mapping them to separate keys.
Sure, layers are an option for this sort of thing, or modifiers or dead keys, but I prefer my UIs to be incredibly shallow: one obvious way to do something. Kind of like an old airplane cockpit.

And new keys arrived, finally the keyboard looks like it is supposed to look, big thanks to colleague kbdfr. Working on a milling now is a pleasure. Thank you all for your time and patience.

Hello fellow tipro users,
I need your help to get the ChangeMe to work. I am using a w10 64b machine, and was wondering if there is anyway to get change me to detect a connected Tipro board, maybe using a virtualmachine.
The winner get a free 2u relegendable keycap

I guess you are using a PS/2 Tipro, in which case you need 32bit Winodws.
You can make it work with a VM but only if your processor supports VT-d.

Ok, apparently my procesor ( i5-750) supports intel VT-x but I couldn't find any information about VT-d.
My Laptop's processor supports it, but has no ps/2
So thanks for your help

Assuming you are on Linux, did you try something like ?
Code: Select all
grep -i vt /proc/cpuinfo
