Oh my. I never thought I would like a clicky switch as much as I do now. Capacitive BS is nice and all, but beamspring, well, its on a whole different level. what an experience! Anyhoo, lets get to the photos, what you all came here for.

Image

As found! As some members here say, Farm Fresh! Doesn't look too bad. I swear, when I shook the one with the label on top, atleast 10 paper clips fell out. strange...

Image

Popped her top... certainly not the worst I've ever seen...

Image

Delicious! 20+ year old board chow!

Image

All keycaps pulled, this contamination shield certainly has seen better days, but its mostly intact. still, the question is, did it do it's job?

Image

Apparently, that answer is yes! The plate is practically spotless.

After washing and putting the caps back on, here it is. I haven't gotten around to cleaning the outer case yet, but that will come later. I cant describe how nice these are to type on. I really cant wait to get an xwhatsit or an adapter using DMA's firmware!

Nice find! I like that you mentioned those paperclips, I've found weird bits of chow like that in my boards as well and it's neat to be reminded that these keyboards had a history of practical use before coming into the hands of us enthusiasts!

Anyone know what a good price would be for one of these boards?

I recently sold one without a spot of rust, verified working but unconverted, for 200 USD and I think that was pretty fair. Add a fair amount for shipping on top of that.

Less for rusty ones, sketchier ones in other ways, missing caps, etc. A bit more if it comes with an xwhatsit.
