I’ve had this blue alps board for quite some time and wondered if anyone knew of any adapters?

I think that there actually may be an adapter for this - here is a yahoo auction listing for an NEC PC 9801 keyboard, which seems to use the same connector, which comes with a USB adapter:

Maybe you would have some luck if you searched around on Japanese auction sites? I would imagine that somebody in Japan sells them, that's probably where this seller got theirs from.
