Hi guys I'm in the process to try to bolt mod a 122key unicomp keyboard that i purchased a couple of years ago.
The keyboard was wasted by the postal service and all the melted plastic rivet things that hold the metal plate to the key assembly where broken during transport so the keyboard arrived in a messed up state.
After disassembly all seem to be OK apart from the broken rivets.
Now i have question this white rubbery thing that goes between the key spring actuators and the membrane for what is it ?, i should reinstall it during reassembly ?.
Also any other tips i can get for the bolt mod could be welcome .
Fixing a 122 unicomp keyboard need help

Yes, that is the mat and it is one of the nice new thin white type.
You will also want to get a chisel-tip Xacto blade and shave off all those "mushroom heads" so that you have nice flat surfaces to drill.

I think that it is a buffer to keep the parts from chafing too much.
The thin latex ones do make the keyboard feel crisper.

this one is ps/2, and the numeric keypad the numlock key enable the numlock led but the keys continue to work like the numlock key is in off mode
