Hello, first of all sorry for my bad english :D .

I have a 64 keys tipro keyboard with a din8-ps2 cable. I used it for years, but now I have a pc without ps2 connection. I tried with a converter to usb but the light of the keyboard start to blink and cannot use it

Any idea to work with it again??
I have an old lenovo thinkcenter (intel core 2 6400) with w10 32bit.
Thanks in advance

To put it short: Tipro keyboards have either a PS/2 or a USB controller.

Once programmed, both can be used with any system, using if necessary any connector/converter,
as the programmed configuration is saved on board and the keyboard registers as a standard keyboard.

But for programming purposes,
PS/2 Tipro keyboards can be programmed only on a 32 bit Windows system with a native PS/2 port,
while USB Tipro keyboards can be programmed only on a 64 bit Windows system with a USB port.
Any connector/converter will prevent the software from identifying the keyboard and thus programming will not be possible.

So theoretically you would have to change the controller for a USB one, but this is not always possible.
- First, check whether your keyboard is MID or KMX type. The following hints are for MID keyboards.
- The 4 first digits on the back indicate the manufacturing year. If your keyboard is older than ~2001, it will not accept a USB controller.
- Remove the metall backplate and see whether the keyboard ports belong to a small additional PCB. If not, no way to use a USB controller.
- It will be almost impossible to find a USB controller for a MID keyboard, as the MID range was discontinued soon after they were made USB compatible.

Any more questions, simply ask
Spoiler:
Did I really write: "To put it short"?
Edit:
I seem to have missed this in your post: "with w10 32bit".
I am afraid the solution can be only a (IIRC) virtual drive, but that’s behind my computer knowledge horizon…
