Hello Dear German Alps loving Community
Iam sure you are all familiar with the Tai-Hao produced Keycaps for Alps switches. After being bummed out for a long time, that there are no ISO DE Versions , i decided to write Tai-Hao a Message to change that.
They agreed to run a GB for an ISO DE Version of their retro colour scheme (and other colours in the future).
Since this would be my first time as an organizer of a group buy , do you guys have any advice / tips for me ?
Here is a google forms doc for the Interest Check.

Very interested! Not a big fan of Taihao's Cubic profile, but it's fine.
I'd change a few things regarding keycap choice, if possible:
Also German legends for the extra keycaps on the bottom (e.g. nav keys and1.5u mods) would be nice.
I'd change a few things regarding keycap choice, if possible:
- Add a 1u Numpad 0, for 1800/96% layouts
- Change the R4 |\ keycap to the German #', for "German HHKB" layouts
- Change the R2 1u |\ keycap to a 1,5u R3 #', for "ANSI DE" layouts
- Add a 6u spacebar
- The extra R1 <> could probably left out
Also German legends for the extra keycaps on the bottom (e.g. nav keys and1.5u mods) would be nice.

I have news that there will be a MOQ of 50 Sets.
Do you guys think this is realistic ?
Also please find more Information regarding this Group Buy / Costs down below:

i dont think that hitting 50 sets is too far off for the german community.guidemetothelight wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 12:20I have news that there will be a MOQ of 50 Sets.

but itll get very expencive if everyone has to get his set individually from tai hao.
A better cost effective solution would be a mass shipping to 1 location and distribution in germany.
Another factor is obviously import tax, which is 19% for mwst. in germany.
So a single set would cost around (50+25)x1,19 = 89,25€.
If we can do this differently and send everything to 1 person all of the 50 sets would cost around 200€ to ship to germany.
((50x50+200)x1,19)/50+5 = 69,26€
You are basically saving money if you dont let tai hao handle these things.
Lets say Tai hao is flexible and is willing to do this all with a private person and also willing to reduce the cost on paper, this would also drastically reduce cost per set. but there are to many ifs and whens and so on. you need someone who is willing to take responsibility and do all this stuff.
i can tell you from experience, you wont find anyone.
Its the same as space invasion groupbuy, i took the task on my own shoulders and many ppl said they would come and help, but noone did
So what i want to say is, either you do all this on your own or you let it go.

Ok, good to know. Its hard to gauge demand when you've never done this before.
Which is quite expensive. I also thought about the price and i will bring some of those concerns to tai hao. i have 1 or 2 ideas to bring down the price.inozenz wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 12:59but itll get very expencive if everyone has to get his set individually from tai hao.

I have to think about if i wanna do that, with my small student apartment & not the greatest cashflow. I thought about not taking commission payouts from tai-hao & just requesting 1-2 keycap sets for payment, which would bring down cost by a further 10%.inozenz wrote: ↑06 Oct 2022, 12:59If we can do this differently and send everything to 1 person all of the 50 sets would cost around 200€ to ship to germany.
