Getting one is not the problem, getting
the right one is the key. I'll give you some tipps if you behave.

At 5 bucks it would be worth it even just for parts.

@seabart
Yes, the sellers had no idea what he was selling, and I took advantage of this, close the deal immediately 5 bucks plus shipping. He is in the town next to mine.
@Stabilized
The switches are in rather good condition crisp and clicky like new, except one on the NUMPAD, the keycaps are heavily yellowed on left hand side, but the keyboard is quite clean, no dust, it seems like this keyboard had been sitting idel in a sunny but dust-free room for years. The keycaps are wellbuilt, good quality DS, only " D " has some scratches on itself. No sign whatever on this keyboard shows the brand or model, that's weired, but the PCB is of high quality as well....I think I will harvest the Blue Alps off this keyboard or just sell it on Dt or Ebay as part when I have time.

The keyboard assembly of something a little obscure..
Should be interesting if it has what I think it has.

Oddball indeed emdude, is that some sort of Selectric III version of the Selectric Composer?
Edit: bazingo found a post on it
http://munk.org/typecast/2015/09/12/ibm ... up-indeed/
Are you expecting it to have a Model F type keyboard?
Posted: 30 May 2017, 23:33
by emdude
Yes, that is what it should have! See this image I captured from a similar Model 85 disassembly video:
I had not heard of the IBM Electronic Typewriter line until very recently, thanks to an eBay listing that ohaimark found.
It seems it was very short-lived, and completely overshadowed by the Wheelwriters that succeeded it.

Won this little beauty today via Best Offer (won't post pics because of the watermark in the pics):

Haata has a bunch of pics of
one similar here but the one I purchased is slightly different. The one I purchased was part of a
Teletype Model 40 with info here. I would love to eventually find the rest of it.
Note: I didn't pay anywhere near the asking price.
