I have recently acquired two ISO IBM model Ms but ran into some trouble. Since I have little to no experience with this, I am asking for your guidance.

I have a 1992 grey label IBM Model M and a 1994 blue label IBM Model M, both with some issues.

1992 Model M

I'm 100% keeping this one and I want to get it to fully work.

Faulty USB converter was to blame! 1994 Model M

Unfortunately I didn't take a pic but the top left plastic of the bottom case which holds the keyboard plate is broken, which causes the board to be a bit unstable. I'm not sure there's a market for Model M cases or something but I doubt I'd be willing to pay much for such a thing XD

Three bent springs: no click, no registered key. Where can I buy (preferably in EU or something sub 20€ shipping) some springs and how easy are them to swap?

2x Missing keys: Pause and DEL (numpad) keys. I'd like to get these specific keycaps, anyone knows where I can grab some?

Spacebar "broken": the plastic that holds the stabilizer bar is broken, making it unusable. Would like to grab some keycapz.

I will most likely be giving away the 1994 Model M to a friend who loves vintage stuff. Before giving it away I would like to solve these issues, though

You might be on to something with the first one. I've heard about that happening with particularly crappy adapters. Get a blue cube!

I searched for "blue cube USB PS2" on eBay, you might find something cheaper if you search your local site.

You may use the attached pictures to test your matrix also.

This shows the lower layer

You can use a tester to check the continuity in the connector pads for the suspicious keys.

The key you are after should be 4/1

I was finally able to connect this to my PS2 port on my desktop and I can confirm that the <> work perfectly. There must be something wrong with this adapter. At least that part is solved

EDIT: damn, clicky keyboards has all the single keycaps I need but charges 30$ for shipping

EDIT2: I noticed that the bent springs are permanently being pressed, removing these keys have made backspace work again. Hah. So now I just need parts. Not so bad after all.
