And the article said that i-rock manager made this pale yellow alps clone switch on that old day.

I can't tell: do all of the switches have the O-ring dampers built in? I'm hoping that one of these is basically white ALPS with MX-cap compatibility. The big slider might help to keep it stable, a known disappointment with some ALPS flavours.

From a keyboard-enthusiast standpoint, It's a weird setup-- captive to a single vendor, the pinout isn't quite ALPS or MX, so it means at least redesign to any PCB you'd want to use.

I am pleased that the boards they're starting with are nice conventional 100% setups without weird layout compromises. As much as I love my Tactile Pro 4, the lack of a Menu key drives me nuts.

I really hope the connector fits other alps mounts, I wouldn't mind making a board from them when they come out.

Okay, I'm finally trying mine. I was one of the evidently three suckers willing to wade through the Engrish on their Indiegogo campaign and buy one. I actually had it for a while, but I've been busy getting my GH-122 how I want.

Initial thoughts:

They missed the boat entirely on the acoustic factor. It sounds far more like a soft MX Blue than a White Alps or Matias. It's a precise sound that ends up sounding very plasticky. I'd love to try a non-damped version, but considering this thing cost me over USD 140 I'm not keen on doing surgery on it.

The keycaps are okay-- not the best backlit on the market, but not Razer hideous typography-wise. Thy feel smooth and of decent fit and finish At least the MX-compatible stem means finding replacements are no issue-- I may swap in a spare Tai-Hao Dolch set simply because I like the colours.

The backlight is blue and fairly bright, but doesn't fill a lot of the key legends well. This is likely a problem faced by every backlit board. Dialing up to "Full Las Vegas At Night" brightness helps, but only somewhat.

The Lego plate is sort of a drawback because they didn't provide a non-Lego plate in the box. If it wasn't like $40 extra, I could have seen getting one, just for something a little tamer.

This was how I felt about mine, I also think they dropped the ball on the tactility. The weren't nearly as tactile as I would have hoped for them to be. I ended up selling mine to a friend for $90 and just washing my hands of that mistake. I was quite disappointed.
