Hey Guys!This is A Fan.About 1 year ago I released a theme about collecting cherry switches：

But I realized that my cherry switches were not enough,And I have insufficient knowledge of this area,so that theme had discontinue.I collected the cherry switch for about a year and a half.During this period I have been committed to collecting all kinds of cherry switches.And got the help of keyboard players around the world.Thanks for them here.Recently I carefully recorded every detail of them and listed here.I'm sorry I can't shoot good photos,my photo technology is poor,I had try my best.I can not measure the trigger pressure and spring length of each switch.So I didn't record them. Part of the switch name (Such as: C3, D3, E3) is controversial.I use the PANTONE TPX (electronic version) named C3, D3, and E3 (Ultramarine and Classic Blue). Their Chinese name does not seem much controversial,So I didn't make any changes to them.I hope they can be so named for the time being before the official name find out.

Are you certain that your M84 switches are really M84? M81, M82 and M84 refer to the material used in the crosspoint prisms, and I'm not aware that there is any known way to visually differentiate them. We can say "M8 Green" but not "M84 Green" at the moment.

Yes. I'm sure it's M84. Because that file "Keymodule M8" had record how to differentiate "M84" and "M81,2" .their crosspoint shape is different.

Yes.At least in M8, triangles and circles represent different meanings.

That's really interesting, because I have M84 switches (M84-0100, from Cherry), and the contacts are circular cross section exactly as you're suggesting! Also shown on the wiki is an M8 switch with clearly triangular section contacts.

So maybe we can't tell M81 and M82 apart, but we can recognise M84.

I need to check my other M8 switches to see what those are.

For me, the 4th letter (M8X?-XXXX)is hard to know.

Hope their crosspoint color difference,Otherwise I can not know their composition.

By the way. There is a "support MX" that I don't have. And I heard there is a "Heavy Clear" in G80-9009 and "Soft Black" in G80- 1890 HAURF. Really?

What is a "support MX"?

I guess he is talking about a springless MX Black switch that is used as an additional stabilizer for Cherry G80 OEM boards with Big-Ass-Enter keys

I guess if we look closely, Gold–Silver–Nickel will be gold-coloured and Silver–Palladium will be silver-coloured … I have various M8 switches now, which I'll have to inspect at some stage.

I think (M4/5/6/7)'s keystem is an important info. That's the reason of I record up"-","T","+" down "-","T","+". But I did not find its rules.

Maybe one day I will finish off my design diagrams :)
