I own a fairly well used 5139, and I personally haven't experienced this issue.

I would actually recommend opening it up and giving it a good clean though if you haven't already. Since it uses rubber dome sheets, it's quite easy to just take those out and give them a good rinse, and clean out any general grime and gunk inside, which may solve your tactility problem.

Additionally, my personal recommendation is to lube the sliders, which makes the board feel much more smooth and consistent IMO.

I used Krytox VPF oil. 1415 I think it was. Just bag lubbed em. Used dielectric grease on the sb.
