Hi!

I have a great Olivetti Ank-2463 keyboard (M24) and I love it! But I cannot find a way to converted it to ps/2 or usb to use it on windows and mac os. I tried to connect the pin out to a ps/2, no success... Anyone already achieved it? do a I need to converted the protocol to at? If yes, how?

Thanks!!

Looking at the wiki, the M24 has a 5 volt regulator on the PC board. That's a dead giveaway that the keyboard runs on a higher voltage, probably 12 volts. You can try bypassing the regulator and using a Soarers converter to see if it speaks XT protocol, but the onboard LEDs suggest otherwise. I played with the Olivetti/AT&T 6300 computers that went with these keyboards back in the day, and the computers themselves had compatibility issues, so a custom conversion will probably be needed.

hey thanks! Yes, I worried that the 12v would be a problem... Next step... Soarer converter!

Not sure to understand, is it mean that I could configure every keys in this controller manually to fit with the M24? Sorry, i'm new with this!

Thanks!

The internal protocol of the M24 keyboard may or may not be recognized by the Soarers. If it is, and if the scan codes don't match the keys (or if you want to reassign keys for a custom layout) you can reconfigure some or all of the keys. I'd recommend doing a search to see if anyone has figured out the M24 conversion already.
