A friend can lend me an ultrasonic tank to clean the keycaps (and stems). Which cleaning agent is better to use? Is there a specific one or is a domestic one enough?
How long would it take to clean the keys? It is a 2.5l tank, 160W power.
Thanks in advance.

I always use tap water and add some dish soap. No experience with those fancy cleaning agent products, but said combination always did the job for me

Usually denture cleaner tabs, two per load. If they look especially nasty, Simple Green + water.
Also, if it's your first time doing this, check to make sure that it's not too hot. I've melted some pad-print caps at 50C.

Yeah, totally forgot. I do that too if it's necessary, but didn't have to in a long time

I've had good results with Harbor Freight's ultrasonic cleaning powder:

In my experience it works much better than just water alone. It has perfectly cleaned all but the very grimiest of keycaps I've used it with.
