I don't know whether I've ever seen this. Just how IBM used darker keycaps for modifiers and other special keys, how about having those keys use a different backlight colour?
For example, my Poker II uses pure green LEDs, instead of the typical yellow-green that has passed for green for years.¹
How about, for example, yellow-green for the normal keys and pure green for modifiers/specials?
¹ My camera uses one red and one yellow-green LED, for autofocus, flash charge/ready and USB mass storage activity status, but the power LED is bicolour red/pure-green (green for photo/movie, red for dictaphone), which is inconsistent.

That would be interesting. Would they be programmable in this hypothetical situation or would they just be 2 colors? I like the KBParadise V60 but i hate how they did their dual color set up.

The KBParadise bugs me, because I really thought the LEDs were diagonally split with one colour on the left and one on the right, and that looks way cool. I was so disappointed to discover it wasn't real. Even so, it looks a really nice keyboard, even better than the Poker II.
I was thinking of factory set pairings, e.g. cyan + white, yellow-green + pure green (as you'd have to carefully select the LEDs) but hypothetically it could be absolutely anything.
