Can you help me identify this keyboard?

I bought this keyboard at a junk store today for a dollar. It's an unconventional key layout. The PCB inside says "Datacomp," and peeking at the switches makes me think they're complicated white Alps.

Is this keyboard worth anything? I was planning on taking it apart to use in a project, but if it's worth more than my Razer Blackwidow, I'd just use that instead.

I suspect it was designed for use with a luggable portable computer, from the way the cable folds up. I'd say "do you like the feel and layout better?" If so, get an AT to PS/2 adaptor, and if necessary, PS/2 to USB, and use it.

What a question, any working mechanical vintage keyboard is worth more than a Razer. At least if it's really mechanical, not some foil-and-foam keyboard.

If you mean resale value, you'll probably get more for your Black Widow. That said, I would go by which one you like to type on more, but there might be other factors like WAF, too...

What kind of project are you talking about? If you build your own keyboard, you might want to use the switches you prefer to use ...
