As I was idly browsing through local fora, I came across a classified with a picture of a board with familiar dark gray letters on its caps. I decided to jump on it immediately.
I apologize for the horrible pictures beforehand
And here it is! Original Cherry Greek dyesubs! The board came in very good condition, though without its box. No dirt or any marks to speak of, and very little dust inside. The paper card is slightly yellowed. I don't think the board has seen much use, only a couple of caps are very slightly faded, and the flipout feet are very stiff, they seem to have never been opened before.
Inside are just white MY switches, which I've never tried before. Found them very stiff and kind of scratchy. Nothing special in that regard.
Also a clue that points to the board seeing little use, it still has the original price tag on it. Only the numbers "8,540" are visible, but I suspect there's a 1 that is just at the edge of the tag. The price for this board would have been 18,540 drachmas back in 1991.
And lastly, the back label of the board, with all the identifying information.

Nice one indeed, right down to the sticker. Gotta love those dyesubs, original and gangster that they are. The switches are a crime but Cherry knew how to make and fit them with fine caps even so. Silly buggers. Wasn’t the whole point of Cherry MY to punish buyers for buying the downmarket configuration? Then why the great caps?
Still, great for us, later on.

A fantastic find indeed!
Would you mind loading your photos in DT so as to make sure they will not disappear (as was the case with imageshack some time ago when they decided to charge fees and delete non-paying accounts?)
Meanwhile, I have added a reference to your board (including a link to this thread) to the table in the wiki G81-3*** page :

Right, I'll try to borrow a camera next week, and I'll upload better images on DT and add them to the wiki article as well.kbdfr wrote: ↑A fantastic find indeed!
