Re: “The Lord Of The M" Controllers (aka TLOTM) - call for ideas
I very much like this idea. Well implemented, it should be able to unconflate both \| key positions and allow Model M keyboards with TIE Enter + Sun ("HHKB") Backspace keys.

Re: Future of DT
Thing is, they don't know what a REAL "dark mode" is.
Some apps have a dark mode (dark grey) and an AMOLED dark mode (black). Dark grey themes are preferable because grey to grey transitions are faster and less smeary than white to black.
The monitor's (paper's, whatever's) convenience ...

Re: Future of DT
I bought Noir and love it! But I like everything dark in low light places and at night. I think it does a perfect job on Deskthority.
I’ve found that dark mode seems to be a generational thing where I work. Older folks aren’t a fan but the younger people love it.
Thing is, they don't know what ...

Dark mode is essential.
Essential if you wanna go blind.
Albeit, that particular dark mode looks rather better than many other "dark modes" that are, frankly, a sin. I mean, who in his/her/their/its right mind thought that "mid-gray text on a slightly brownish dark gray background" would be ...

Okay folks, I am accepting orders for keycaps again. Sorry for the confusion in this thread but after a long time I was able to refine the process and it is actually doable the way I intended. So, in short, I am indeed able to make keycap sets with almost any mount. All the keyboards I made ...

Boas, decidi criar um novo layout optimizado para programadores, é um mix de ISO-PT e teclado ANSI US.
Possui apenas 10 teclas diferentes do teclado US, ao contrário das 17 do teclado atual.

Re: Mount keyboard directly to tray arm?
I know keyboard trays have a bad reputation, but I find that they do serve a purpose. I like my keyboard low, and my desk free for a notebook or tablet, and a tray is great for that. A good quality, properly mounted tray should not bounce or wobble.

Btw Model F Labs was mentioned in an Ars Technica about the new Windows copilot key:

Looks awesome... except for the Windows logo, which seems out of place on that vintage looking board (but I guess I dislike seeing it on any keyboard)
Thanks. I have been considering replacing the new Windows key with the old (Win95) logo to make it look more timely accurate. I use it often ...

Makes perfect sense. China can't force the world to buy their spyware-laden keyboards if pesky little forums like this keep resucitating vintage keyboards and putting them to good use.

Come to think of it, if those "MLX Red" feel more like MX blacks or even stiffer, perhaps these Corsair switches' actuation point may have actually been 0x45g, but the marketing dept. couldn't make sense of the "0x" bit.
