for anyone in germany, I believe this keyboard will have micro switch SC switches: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/robuste-itt-din-tastatur-701552-003-kult-xt-at-rar-retro-keyboard/94967854-225-1781?ref=search my reasoning is the keycaps are very similar to https://deskthority.net/wiki/...

The layout is the killer for me, afaik no OG F has Unix layout which many people are fond of.

Re: New F77 or a Unicomp?
I won't say either M or F is superior, they are... different. Repro f has a very light typing feel(lighter than most og model f) which I enjoy a lot, but some people may find it too light. I still find myself enjoy model M even my daily is a Repro F.

For switches, about one or two days, a weird layout will definitely take much longer to get used to.

Re: Alps Key Caps Where?
Drop is selling taihao dolch and wob right now for around 40 usd a set, pretty good value imo. For vintage stuff, many chiconies, apples are dissembled for their switches, however, trying to find matching caps for rarer ones will be very hard if not next to impossible.

Re: To Topre Enthusiasts
I consider myself a "Topre enthusiast" but unfortunately my dome(or sleeve in some cases) keyboard experience is limited to low profile ITW magvalve, Topre, Mitsumi, and Libertouch. Purely subjective ranking for the switches I owned: Libertouch, Topre standard 45g with standard, Topre RGB 45g, Topre...
Re: SWITCHES
1. The quietest switch I have used is libertouch, but it is not linear and by some standards isn't even a mechanical switch. Linear mattias is very quiet for a "mechanical' switch but not as quiet. 2. Kailh choc and Cherry ML are the most common ones, there are a whole slew of others tho like Topre ...

Re: How many keyboards?
Well, AFAIK Libertouch is never sold outside of Japan lol so it's understandable that there is almost no review in English. I got most of my Japanese stuff like Juki, BFK, Libertouch, etc. from yahoo auction. Yahoo auction? I'll have to have a look. Though, from what I understand about BFK pricing,...

Re: How many keyboards?
Personally, I feel like stock topre 45g was beaten by libertouch from a typing perspective completely... However, libertouch is based on membrane tho so only 3KRO. The greatest thing about the BFK is that the numpad can be configured to the left Interesting that you hold the Libretouch in such high...
