okay. the video was a hands-on not a review. just a first impression but I hadn't time to post a full review. Well, nice little "hands-on" then :) The switch has indeed a ridge and they are "mountable" on a 1.3mm plate. I say it between "" because you'd need very specifically crafted keycaps that K...

Matt3o, nice little review, I am VERY interested in these switches (along with the MX stemmed "Alps" i-Rocks switches). Just a couple of related points: These versions are plate mountable. They have a flat ridge around the base and little clips to lock into a plate, but it looks like it's designed t...
It is being sold on Massdrop currently in packs of 110 pieces, some guy posted this video link on its discussion section https://vid.me/FZQ6 . Seems to dampen upstroke but I don't understand how it does. It clips onto the switch itself and the flat part of the top of the slider hits the bottom of t...

MX: just keep modding. It asymptotes towards good somewhere… Funny.... but true, unfortunately. I have to do 5 mods to Clears to get them to "good" level (springs, shaved sliders, stickers, trampolines, latex), whereas with Zealios I "only" have to do 3 mods (trampolines, latex, copper tape). My Am...

Of course it won't make Blues or Greens quiet, but it works great for tactile and linear switches.

Very interesting, and very nice, too :) SP have their ears on. Could this be a new age of SP being responsive to the community? In this day and age if a Company refuses to listen to their customers they will ultimately go elsewhere to get their fix. Glad SP was smart enough to actually do something...

About the colours, Krogenar's scans hosted by mashby on his Flickr account and the DT wiki ABS colours (which are actually photospectrometer samples of the colour chips, converted to sRGB so they display correctly, done by Ian Prest) are the most accurate source for comparisons out there. Nothing qu...

Thanks for the pics, that looks pretty good, but a little too close to each other for my taste. Great to know they can do it if pushed :D Interested to see what their own version looks like. The line thickness should be specified in inches, not points: 0.100" and 0.125" Upper Case Characters: 0.015"...

Okay... officially, 0.015" is the minimum, with 0.020" being considered "safe". It may be that the actual molded cap has slightly smaller gaps than 0.015" due to distortion and remelting during second shot molding. This seems to be what happened to the SA Nuka Cola legends. The actual SVG has 0.015"...

Well, I imagine if they create two packs, then they will get manufactured according to the new scheme whereby pre-orders interest check votes will tip production as demand dictates. Consequently, it could be a while before the odd sizes cross a production threshold, given the significantly lower de...

I see. Thank you. To be honest, I don't see that one as being considered "best" by general community concensus. More likely the 50% one. Actually even the 75% one looks good to me, but that's just my personal view and I think the 50% one would be most likely to be accepted as "best" (possibly with s...

zslane, do you mind posting the file you sent to SP? Does it match any of the OP images? What was the final gap between the F and T? I'm trying to nail down the real gap limitations and SP are giving me the runaround on it. They state 0.015" now as the absolute minimum, but from what I can tell, tha...

Good news, team! That SHIFT needs serious work. The white space around the I is minuscule, but you could park a truck between F and T. The long topped F is dumb for doubleshot anyway. Shorten it and improve everything! Shorten it and it doesn't match all the other font characters... I agree, the kerning needs tweak...

Hi guys! I'm going to add some more controversy... While going through the various specifications for legend cutting I came across this line: "On any 2-shot legend, there needs to be a minimum space of 0.020" to 0.035", depending on the cutter thickness (line thickness) between characters and lines ...

These are now confirmed by SP: 1. Legends are cut in "negative", so you're cutting away the material of the legend itself, not "positive" where you cut away the surrounding area and leave the legend itself standing. 2. There are two ways that SP uses to cut legends. 3. The first is using a simple si...

Thanks, I didn't know about this page. It seems that KL27Z does have a bootloader in ROM - Good! Finally, Freescale. If it works reasonably, it might end up being the ideal chip for keyboards.
