Re: IBM Model F AT Winkey + Split Spacebar Drop-in Replacement PCB
Hi, This makes the XT usable ! Well done. Congrats. I just need to get back the flippers which I have stolen from a couple of XTs some years ago which have been used daily in my (three) FSSK. As I said. Well done ! One question ... how long it took you to generate the geber files ? Which software ha...

By the way ... it was found while clearing an old office.
It is very probable that they took away more of these. I have asked the seller to provide my contact details to the "cleaning" company. We may be lucky twice ...

IBM 5251 BeamSpring Spares will be available for those needing them :)
Hello, I am excited to announce that I have found what the seller called " broken and useless keyboard " at a very reasonable price. IBM5251BeamSpring.jpg It will take some months until I receive it. It has to cross a couple of European borders. As I do not need it, I have decided to offer it the co...

Hi, Thanks a lot for your fantastic work !!!! I have a question that you may be able to answer :) In your "https://sharktastica.co.uk/guides/unicomp_pico" you explain that: How to get them As of June 2023, all consumer Unicomp keyboards except the EnduraPro (which hasn't returned to sale) ship with ...

Since idollar has not graced us with his presence in some time, I thought I'd try to re-ask a question I've posed before , but buried under a (seemingly) dead thread. Here am I :) idollar's original FSSK/FEXT install instructions explicitly call out doing a screw mod first and even adds "I do not r...

Re: Model M with a single non-working key
I bit the bullet and removed the rivets to have a look. It turns out one of the lines towards the key has been interrupted by some sort of 'rot', a small 1mm blister in the line. Should be easy to correct with conductive ink I think. Time to order a bunch of bolts I guess :) Agreed. Based on my exp...

I already checked them ... I came to them from the "resellers" page in unicomp.

Thanks a lot for the very valuable information, wcass ! I ordered the new SSK and it is nice ... except for that annoying thing with the Q key (which i hear they have a firmware fix for). Refresh my Model MF memory, if you would kindly sir. Does an MF retrofit the M barrel plate for F flipper use or do we make new plates? I need to take a look, but if I am correct, we shall create a new PCB compatible with the Mini M, the SSK. I believe that we just need to relocate some pads (marke...

[WTB] Unicomp Mini M
Hi,
I would like to get one of these from Europe
https://www.pckeyboard.com/page/product/MINI_M
The idea is to play with it, I mean, to have a unit that could be use to prototype a FMINIM (FSSK like)
Does anyone has one for sale or knows where to source it in Europe ?
Thanks in advance

Yes, an integrated controller would be great. Could even implement reed reset support for disassembly-free reflashing. As for the hole in the case, I think it would be cool to be able to use the original detachable cable over SDL. Making a daughterboard that connects to the controller would be a re...

Hello,
We are thinking on a second round ... look at this

If you are interested, I could organise it. We could also work on a PCM with the controller integrated.
Please let me know if you are indeed interested.

Re: (Model MF) Remodeling the Model M (aka.. the Mara)
Hello guys ... (yes, I am back ... not in full as I am really busy, but I have logged in again). The real stopper for the FSSK and FEXT are the flippers. I need to test if they can be 3d printed. This would allow to fully transform a model M into an F at a reasonable cost. BTW: I keep typing with my...
