Decided on a mounting point for the Teensy and wired up the lights.
It's going half under the trackpad, plenty of space to lie down.

Figuring out where the Teensy and LEDs will go with the Mainboard and switches removed, the whole thing has to go I think to make room for full travel switches and nicer caps.

Wall Mounted Toshiba T-5200/100

I bought this keyboard module for the keycaps, but it has a Tron-esque grid pattern going on in the traces.
I thought it would make some cool wall art, so I put together a frame out of spare wood,
and side lit it with LEDS. I think it looks quite spiffy.

At least there are often doubleshot keycaps, though.

Hence my purchase. It's garbage to type on.

Flat, no feedback, limpy/membrane or what?

Please be MORE specific here.

It types exactly as it's built, a limp membrane with a click leaf shoved on the side.
I'm going to harvest the caps and ...

I learned to type on a keyboard at home, before they ever tried to teach us typing at school.
Therefore I am faster with my style than with theirs.
I do like to use touch typing websites though.
It's a fun game when you're bored to see how well you can do without looking.

1. Alps might be big, but IBM was bigger, if they demanded a board with no Alps markings, they could get it.
2. Big Blue with Alps Blues is awesome.
3. If cloning an IBM product makes it "Fake" or "Not Real" then no one in existence today owns a real computer or keyboard.
