How does this silence the topre switch? Does it silence both pussing down and key release?

I have no knowledge on Topre, but if I enjoy the 002 Topre keyboard from his tour I will want to buy one and silence it.

You can try to clean with hydrogen peroxide the inner part of the switch, that is how I restored an old keyboard with MX blue with ots of non-clicky keys. You need to remove the keycaps and then remove the cap of the switch.

Regarding the spacebar it may have a stiffier spring than the rest of the ...

I am also on the IT world, on a hosting company doing system administration tasks. At work I am known as somebody who enjoys doing his work, the weird guy who everyday when arrives work opens his little bag where he carries the keyboard and trackball.

Thank you Hak Foo, AFAIK the TB40 is the wireless version of the TB38, that is, on photos these seem exactly the same, but one is corded.

If you say the tracking is not quite good maybe I should look at some wired one like Slimblade or LTRAC. Have you ever used any of these to compare?

Sanwa Supply MA-WTB40 questions.

Hello guys,

I have lately entered the trackball world with my first trackball being a Kensington Orbit Wireless. I enjoy it quite a lot but I am looking for something with more buttons and a bigger ball.

I like mouse and trackball to be wireless, so the logical path is going for a Sanwa Supply MA ...

I am about to buy the Sanwa Supply ma-wtb40bk, but that is the one that would have almost no votes, if none.

EDIT: oh, I see you added the ma-wtb38bk, the wired version. Ok, I'll add the wireless one later.

Being PCB mounted, once you remove that plastic (I don't know what that plastic is) you can easily open switches and change springs.

As Khers says, a g80-3000 is the easiest to mod. This is a black one for example. I've got the clear switch mode and this is my experience:

Pros:
- Not expensive
- Very easy to mod
- PBT keys

Cons:
- Design

I personally don't like the spacebar upstroke, is the thing that annoys me the most on ...

Everybody has its preferences, but when you read out there about trackballs you get the idea that the ones generally picked by people that has tested more than one trackball are the CST L-track, Kensington Expert and Kensington Slimblade.

But this is just statisticall data of course. As every ...

I am interested in the feel/sound of PBT, in fact I would not care about faded or scratched legends.

I will have to keep searching. Thank you guys.

Is there any known Acer model with PBT keycaps? I've got a rebranded Foxen 6312-kw, and an Acer 6312-ta and neither of them has PBT keycaps.
