My first real loss was in high school, where I lost one of my best friends. She started getting extremely sick and it wasn't until after her death that we discovered she had a parasite in her brain. This was over 7 years ago and I still think about it from time to time. Would we still be good ...

Yeah those have been listed for years and the price continues to rise. I got a Portuguese model for $40 back in 2015.

If the WYSE were in better condition I'd consider getting it. But the APC looks suspiciously like a rubber dome to me despite the "clicky" claim.

Are those complicated or simplified Alps? I wasn't aware that Datadesk used SKCL keys for LEDs.

I'm in the (very) early stages of making a full PBT Alps set, preferably dye sub or doubleshot. I'm leaning towards SP since it seems like Tai Hao won't respond.

These are the ones I'm referring to by the way. You can order them to your brother's address and then take them back with you.

Well most post offices don't carry them in stock, but the boxes themselves are free and the USPS also delivers anywhere in the US for free. If you ship them, you have to use priority mail though. :)

This doesn't exactly help you out Mu, but anyone in the US can order the flat rate board game boxes from the local PO, they are the perfect size for keyboards and I've only had one that didn't fit (Fairlight MFX3+).

^ That.

Other than SP, Tai Hao is the only company I know of that actually has Alps molds. SP is of course most receptive, but their kits are almost always an order of magnitude more expensive that what you can get from TH.

I'd be keen for another set... IMHO, if you are going to go doubleshot, go for a light on dark design - since you can't do that with dyesub. Have you looked at what the tty triumph looks like on a black background? Some of the rich ABS blacks are quite stunning and would complement it nicely, I ...

If I'm going to buy any more modern keyboards, they will surely be exactly what I want. The cheap Chinese boards have gotten so cheap over the years that you'd never be able to compete. I got a TKL with full LED lighting shipped direct to my door for around $25 a few years ago. Things are even ...

I'd like to know that too. I've been wanting to edit the WYSE converters for quite some time now, but with his absence I haven't been able to. For anyone who has it decompiled: it's now been 4 years, so I'd say the risk you take is relatively low.

I've been wanting to talk to them about getting a custom set in the works, but they've ignored or not received any of the messages I've sent through their website.

I agree, the M2 is seriously underrated in my opinion. Sure it's impossible to open for repairs but the keyfeel is quite nice compared to most modern clicky keyboards.

I prefer ham for holiday celebrations. I like chicken but I'm not much of a fan of the other fowl I've tried over the years. I used to pour hot sauce on the turkey and whatnot because they are so dry.

Most of my keyboard storage is in a plastic tub. I'm assuming it's my post showing my tub that probably prompted this thread. In any case, once I whittle away my collection again to single digits, they will either be on one of my desks or on a shelf. I need two at work (one Windows and one OS X ...
