Some can do that yes but not all, the reverse capability is simply not a standard feature on KVMs (just like how some can also switch USB, audio and networking features). So saying that somone should just go out and buy any KVM switch would be wrong.

KVM- One keyboard, one mouse, one monitor and up to many many computers
OP- Multiple keyboards, one PC.

Its the exact opposite.

I for one LOVE the chinese (in a non-dirty manly way)! You do some great production work, you food is great (well, the food that does not smell like wet dog or taste like sea-weed), you have some really nice old architecture and i think you can all be very social if you want to (been in the tourist ...

Just check out the PS/2 specification as to what pin is Vcc, clock, data and ground. Measure (with for example a multimeter) what pin goes to what color wire and write it down;

I prefer good old sandblasting over toxis chemicals any day. Imagine where that crap's gonna go after you're finished with it.

Oh yes i fully agree with you there, blasting will always be better.... But you just cannot do that without the proper hardware, paintstipper on the other hand is easy as ...

Yeah, thats either a reaction like you get with different types of paint re dissolving each-other or if you didn't de-grease properly (always do that before AND after sanding).

Its a metal case you have there right? Heres my advise for the best result;
1) Buy some proper chemical paint stripper ...

Switching PS/2 devices on the fly should be possible if they are similar enough hardware-wise. However, i would do kinda what Ripster suggested but instead of 2 blue cubes i would just hook the most used keyboard up via PS/2 (or whoever needs NKRO roll-over the most, dunno if your little girl ...

Withdrawal can be bad but most of it should be over in 2~3 weeks. Would the board below combined with an UNO for example be able to 'intercept' USB mumbo-jumbo from a keyboard and do some switcheroo magic to do remapping thingies;
