Re: Are there any unconvertible switches left?
I'm not sure how much sense it makes to talk about switches as opposed to keyboards when it comes to conversion. There *are* converted Hall Effect keyboard. And some keyboards use both "pulse" (for alphas, to avoid rollover issues*) and "hold" switches (for mods), which reinforces my first point. * ...

Play with this: http://www.tmk-kbd.com/tmk_keyboard/editor/unimap You can make a hex file with this graphical editor directly. Hasu made TMK much friendlier for most of us when he developed Unimap. Even I can use it now! I will, but I'd nonetheless really like to understand how to modify they keyma...

Re: Scientific-Atlanta Spectral Dynamics SD425
Oh, that's a shame. Those waffle frame switches are never any good. They spoil what is otherwise a decidedly elegant looking board. The case design is very flash, and the caps are stellar. Re: Univac Keyboard (Micro Switch)
Also this little code snippet works, however 1 in ~10 keypresses don't register. I did a little bit of research and found out that digitalRead() is actually quite slow. Is it possible that the code can't keep up with the short little pulse that the switch puts out? That is certainly possible, note ...

Re: Univac Keyboard (Micro Switch)
https://i.imgur.com/JP1MKrJ.png When you press a standard alpha key on the board, one line will make a little blip to tell the computer that a key has been pressed. At the same time, 7 (maybe 8) of the other lines will go high or low. This is the character/command that is being sent to the computer...

Re: Univac Keyboard (Micro Switch)
Does NKRO even matter if the switches are not "held". You would need to press down more than one switch in exactly that one little moment of the pulse to have any conflicts. You will not get any key combinations on the alpha keys, nor repeat for holding keys, but rollover and ghosting should not be ...

Shall we have a DTA 2019?
Are there any plans going on in the background for this years awards already?
If not, shall we start a discussion here and now (as opposed to two weeks notice like last year)?
I really want to see the best picture awards come back this year, would even consider organizing it myself.
