Non-sensical really. He should have just sniped 800 if he was willing to pay as much. Lowballing is for best offers.

Typing on one right now. Cheapest mechanical keyboard available new in the US. Don't buy it on eBay, it's probably cheaper brand new. The board can theoretically be remapped in hardware by programming the small SPI EEPROM that connects to the controller. Despite the plastic plate, it types very well...

You could probably Teensy it up or use a serial to USB adapter.

I was thinking of replacing that whole section with a multi-touch trackpad for Win 8. 8-)

Tactile Pro has super white key caps. IMO, the vintage ALPS dyesub caps (ie AT101 or SGI Granite) are better, but not quite as white.

Battery issues plague these older Focus keyboards with integrated calculators. Try replacing the battery and also check the soldering in general.

Desko MCR Driver Software

Does anyone have access to the Desko MCR driver? They are not willing to offer support to non-paying customers, so I have no way of using the card reader on my board.

Looking for a full size custom keyboard PCB design

I'm probably overlooking something obvious, but I've been unable to locate an open source full size (104 key) mechanical keyboard PCB design for Cherry switches despite having searched Deskthority and Geekhack. If anyone knows of such a custom board, please let me know.
