MX reds were one of the great disappointments for me, in the recent past. Scrcrcrcrrrcrrccratchy. Cherry should have been ashamed of themselves. Those switches well and truly ruined the MX Board 6.0 let alone third party keyboards for several years there. I got a 100% oposite experience with my Leo...

The board is beautiful seebart :) Thank you very much, the keycap colors are much brighter in the picture though because of the flash. I love modern linear MX reds, a truly great switch from Cherry. The build quality of this Leopold is very high, really a joy to type on. One of my favorite "modern"...

I can second the great build quality of leopold boards (have a fc660c with mx brown). The doubleshot PBT caps are truly excellent, I think I prefer them even over most OG cherry caps. Agreed! Both the Topre and Cherry boards are very sturdy! One of my hobby goals is to earn one some day! Just keep ...

Well, it's not an fc660c! I'm just teasing you, though =) Also I'm super jealous of that wingnut! One of my hobby goals is to earn one some day! I really just posted it to show of the wingnut. 8-) Of course mine has red Cherry MX's but the build quality is impressive! I'm sure the FC660C is o...

Hey, this thread is about IBM Model M! More specifically, this thread is about expressing an elitist and arrogant contempt towards the Model M. What was IBM thinking? We're the tip of the keyboard elite, we deserve only the best ... Compromise is for the weak. Cost saving is heresy. I'm p...

You know it really is shocking what a different spring can do to the tactility of cherry switches, I feel that the sweet spot for browns is around 60g, and the best for clears is 62-67g. there is a noticeable increase in tactility on browns when a heavier spring is installed, and clears with a ligh...

I do understand there are some real benefity to the Model M ... Mostly availability and the layouts that are available. But that's no reason for me to embrace them. I really wish IBM kept making Model F keyboards as a premium alternative to their Model M keyboards. Instead, we're now watching all k...
