Hi! I just got this nasty keyboard, i bought it thinking it could be a Tulip or Monterey (based on its layout), hopefully with white or blue alps, but this has this weird orange-yellow SMK-like switches. I can't found anything in the wiki, anyone knows?

It's clicky and sounds really good.

Thanks!

ok, found it, it's a podworld

Weird. Looks like decent build quality and good layout. How is the feel? Similar to while alps or Montereys?

That is a podworld keyboard with KPT clones. They're decent enough switches, never tried the green ones personally

To the touch is clicky but softer than Alps, similar to SMK blues, but the sound it makes is very close to skcm white/blues, really really good. I will probably make a video comparing the sound of both switches.

Does anybody know what switches this keyboard uses?

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/ACK-700-POS-Ter ... Swp6Reob8t

Their website says it is rubber dome, but why does it have removable caps and sliders then?

Are you after the Victor that the link goes to, or the original item?

The Victor has Peerless.

eatleadin321

The ACK-700, which should be the original item.

Impressive considering it seems to be a knock off. Looking forward to the comparison vid. Compare to matias and monterey too if you have any :D

Could the ACK-700 be a slider over dome switch? the slider doesn't look similar to anything i've ever seen.

SMK inverse cross, right? Any good? Are SMK sensitive to dust (like, is a NOS one the best you can get)?

Considering picking this one up...

Be aware that's a special version of the Datadesk, as evidenced by the label and the odd 8 pin DIN connector. My guess (and it's only that) would be that it's for a Tandy 2000.

edit: that should probably read Tandy 1000 instead.

I bought these keycaps about a year ago on ebay. Does anybody by any chance know which keyboard they originally belonged to? It's obviously Micro Switch, but that's as far as I got.

Pretty sure all G80 3000 had either MX or MY, so yes, it is mechanical.

The System 10 had CTL for the F keys. https://archive.org/details/bitsavers_s ... 2/mode/1up

The DRS20 had the same shifted number legends and colorway. https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.o ... splay-unit

So perhaps something in that Singer / ICL lineage, like a System 25?

Suspect it's a keycap variation of the same keyboard. Here is a close-up of another version and a clearly matching LOCK light spot.

Yes that looks indeed very similar. Thanks!

Edit: And the second one is actually from Bracknell, which is where I currently live. That's a weird coincidence...

Yes, it should have Cherry MX switches, I'd guess black. They aren't super vintage though, being made in 1999.

This keyvoard is for an IBM 4683 POS system, what I'm wondering is, is it anything special, or just a rubberdone?

IBM *POS
Something like Mitsumi hybrid switch (very tactile rubber sleeves), although I'm not sure if it was actually Mitsumi.

Hello everyone, just looking for some info if anyone has it for this board bought a while ago. I know who makes it, just can't find anything on it. I can take more pics if anyone needs them but this was made by Access Keyboards.
