Thanks! It looks very similar.

Anybody got any Info about it ? Switch Type would be great to know , seller wants around 60 Euros for it.
Iam quite fond of the aesthetic , but i cant seem to find any info about a RT68567, the only thing that pops up is this: wiki/NMB_RT6856T, which is rubber dome.

Thanks for clarifying ! I thought i stumbled upon something really special , since here in germany , we dont have a lot of silicon graphics stuff and somewhere in the back of my head i had the association: silicon graphics = expensive and special.

I talked to the seller, he is quite weird.
doesnt wanna ship in germany , cause he does not have time , but i think i can persuade him maybe.

There have been worse times but I’m still quite shocked by the number of search alerts I have lol

I suppose it is Acer 6311. As I see it has dome with slider. There is a letter "G" inside of slider.
There is no label on the other side of keyboard. What could be the full name/index of this model?

FCC ID starts with "CIG". Check FCC ID quick reference. Answer: Key Tronic

I've only seen HP-branded Key Tronic keyboards in that case style. If I'm not mistaken, it is a mushy rubber dome.

The parts look suspiciously like those made in Taiwan, but if it's really made (assembled) in India I think it's safe to say it's a rare and unusual one. I don't remember ever seeing a keyboard that was made in India, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been talked about here at some point. Try searching the model number from the sticker in the forum, because we often post and talk about things that aren't in the wiki. Just in my own small collection I have several keyboards that aren't listed there, or at least don't have photos or enough information to help someone match them up to an unknown one. I've sat down a few times to try to learn how to use the Wiki, but I always hit a brick wall and give up.

I recall there was some interest a long time ago about TVS "Gold" keyboards from India, because they were cheap and offered MX Blue when it was a rare choice on the market. They appear to have a similar looking case, although now in black.

Thanks for tip to search. I`ve searched keys "India" and "101 key kb" but I didn't find anything useful. Unfortunately, the name is too generic and doesn't say anything.

Thank you for pointing out that the keyboard looks like TVS keyboard. The shape of the front panel is indeed very similar. I did a little Google searching for pictures. TVS keyboards come in black and white. But they all have Windows keys, Cherry MX Blue switches and different keycaps. Also, I went a step further and sent an enquiry to the official TVS website. Here's the answer:

I found in the wiki that the Chicony KB-5161 also looks similar to my keyboard (at least the front panel, button layout and their size)

In 1992 I bought a Chicony KB-5193R (see attachment), QWERTZ layout, here in Germany. I am pretty sure about the model because of the awkard position of the <> key.

Now I want to buy exactly the same one again and I am willing to pay (almost) any price for it.

The problem is the switch: My keyboard at that time did have a very soft touch, definitely not clicky. Howvever, all switches that I tried in various Chicony keyboards nowadays seem to have something totally different. Even the same model KB-5193R comes with clicky blue switches and other types.

My question: Is there a way to find out all switches they used for this model? Maybe even to find out which ones they used for German keyboard layouts?

The close Chicony KB-5191 and KB-5192 are in the Wiki. Those have come with quite a few different types of switches. Five clicky and three non-clicky types have been entered into the Wiki article so far.

The non-clicky are two types of Mitsumi "miniature mechanical": tactile yellow and tactile green, and also linear yellow Aristotle (a Cherry MX clone/hybrid).
The Aristotle switch should feel similar to "Red" or "Yellow" switches in a modern mechanical keyboard.
I dunno myself how the MItsumi switches feel, but another tactile mechanical Mitsumi switch I've tried had a large rounded tactile feel.

Chicony used even more types of switches for the 5181/5182-series, but all those found have been clicky,.

BTW, the "R" in the model number does not seem to stand for "Rubber dome" as it does with some other brands, as there are confirmed Chicony KB-5191R keyboards with clicky switches.

I briefly had and gave away one of these keyboards, with yellow MX mount Mitsumi Miniature switches, to Chyros a few years ago. He reviewed it here:

Those particular switches may be what you had in the day. I have a nice New Old Stock one in my switch collection that feels buttery and light, quite like a Topre. But the used ones in that board I gave to Chyros were nasty and binded like crazy. He spells that out in the vid!

It is said they need lube. Maybe. Strange wee design those tactile Mitsumis. They have the potential to be quite nice, but certainly not the ones in that flimsy, downright bendy chassis.

That was fast... looks like I have come to the right place after a long time of looking for my lovely keyboard.

I took a look on the suggestions here (Mitsumi, Aristotle, Chyros donations)... but it seems I had something different.

The keybard I had was very soft in touch and silent... buttery and light as Muirium put it. When you type, it feels like cutting through hot butter with knife (as we say in German).

Is it possible that it was some kind of rubberdome?

But yes, you're right. I found a KB-5193R with clicky Cherry MX Blue switches. So "R" is not for rubberdome.
