Realforce TKL keyboards have a Dip switch sw4 -firmware update mode function Disable-off Enable-on. Has anyone ever updated the firmware? I have not seen any informatiom on the subject, and if they have any updates availabe. Any info. would be appreciated.

To my knowledge, Topre has never offered a firmware update. There probably hasn't been need for one. I mean, I haven't found any flaws in how the 87U functions. Have you?

No I have no complaints just curious. Being a Mac user some features are not compatible like embedded num. pad but Its fine as is. HHKB is more Mac & Unix friendlly, but I just wondered if other firmware options were available. The Realforce 87u works well for Macs as is. Thanks, JulleJulle wrote:To my knowledge, Topre has never offered a firmware update. There probably hasn't been need for one. I mean, I haven't found any flaws in how the 87U functions. Have you?

You can use KeyRemap4MacBook to provide a numpad. Here's my private.xml. In addition to the labeled numpad keys, my settings change = to numpad =, 6 to clear, and return to numpad enter.mj45 wrote:Being a Mac user some features are not compatible like embedded num. pad but Its fine as is.
If you prefer the old PowerBook numpad layout, you can set a key to fn_lock (the PC Application key is a good choice, it's the useless key between right windows and right control) instead of using my settings.

I have been using KeyRemap4MacBook for the media functions. I will give your settings a try Thanks. By the way I use the FN key remapped from PC app key quite a bit.FourOhFour wrote:You can use KeyRemap4MacBook to provide a numpad. Here's my private.xml.
