Hey all, first time poster here. I'm looking for recommendations for an ergonomic keyboard with a trackpad built in, ideally a centrally located one. If the trackpad recognizes two finger gestures, that would be a huge plus.
Some keyboards I've found that seem in the right vane:

can anyone recommend anything?

While not really center or multi-touch capable, or even ergonomic, a Cherry G80-11900 has a trackpad and is a better board than a rubbermush.

I did quite a search for this type of keyboard. The Kinesis Evolution perhaps comes the closest, but it is a rubber dome.

I did tape a Magic Trackpad to the middle of my Kinesis Advantage. It worked fine, but I found that constant trackpad use is not ergonomic or pain-free. Our hands are not designed to move around on flat surfaces all day.
The Maltron with trackball has the most ergonomic keyboard/mouse combo that I have used. DPI leaves something to be desired. And, ya know, it goes for a cool $700.

Oops. I was wrong. Also, the Kinesis Evolution is not made any more, and I think it's hard to find used, but I do not look very hard.hoggy wrote:I've got a kinesis evolution - Mine's got Alps, did they do a rubber dome version?
I think that prdlm2009 has a point, if you drop the trackpad requirement...
