Hello everybody!

Did I get it right that now there are some wireless mechanical keyboards on the market (like Noppo: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Noppoo-choc84-2 ... 46178d706d)? How do they perform from battery point of view and from nro??
Any suggestion other than this one otherwise to have wireless mechanical kbd?

I'd recommend the matias secure pro wireless keyboard.

I have big issues with many wireles peripherals: they are easy to "snoop" on, you have to worry about batteries and connectivity and all sorts of nonsense. Give me a well shielded wired keyboard any day.

That said, the matias gets rid of one of these issues with the AES encryption it uses. You still have to worry about batteries and the like, but at least it's harder to snoop on.

I think you can get a filco minila in wireless as well. Not sure about batterylife and all that, though.

Unless your neighbour works for the intelligence services (in which case they have your house well bugged anyway…) there's nothing practical to worry about with wireless keyboard security. Bluetooth doesn't just send characters in the clear. Your wifi is much more likely to be "how they get you" than your keyboard.

So yes I'm a wireless fan. The Minila Air is the one I'd suggest looking at. Compact, well built, good lifetime, and has Matt3o's wife's seal of approval. And she has access to all those custom keyboards of his, too…

I agree with Muirium about security. Maybe in a very crowed working environment or public places (internet cafes?) it might be useful/important.

PS: wife's seal of approval is a very very hard certificate to gain.

I prefer bluetooth than wireless,because i not possible typing long distance
i don't like battery,charger of wireless.etc......

I bought myself a Powerex battery charger/analyzer http://www.mahaenergy.com/analyzer/ and a set of Eneloop rechargeable batteries (the new ones, code HR-3UTGB-4BP). Well, my mouse still goes strong with the first charge, happened more than 6 months ago. I think I can live with that.

of course if the keybourd would also have a pointing stick, that would be genius!!

It should actually be easier to make one that would work with any os than to make a windows specific one.

It looks like it's trying to use proper standards but failing somehow, and that it's not Windows-specific (they mention Android).
