I've see a similar-shaped switch in an Alps patent that uses this side design for plate spring, but I am not sure I've seen a patent for a side dome switch yet. (Not all Alps switches appear to have US patents — SKFL is cited in another Alps patent as prior art instead of a patent citation, so I presume they never patented SKFL in the US.)

Not Alps. I have it on good authority (from Microbee themselves) that they're [wiki]Jelco JKS-91[/wiki]. I hope to have some reference material within a few weeks.
