Issues With Several Keys on the Filco Ninja Majestouch 2

Hi,

Well, I've had my keyboard for about two weeks now. The Filco Ninja Majestouch 2.

I've been noticing on several keys that they don't feel as nice or as browns should feel (pretty much since I got it). They feel more resistant (require more force) and they just don't feel right at all, like they're broken or something, I don't know. Not entirely sure how I should explain it...

The keys I've been noticing the problems on: "p" and "[" and "]" and "l" and "8".

Also the backspace sort of "rings", which is extremely annoying.

I'll try to get a video on the keys so you could hear the difference between them as well, asap.

What should I do? Contact the Keyboard Company?

The Keyboard Company won't RMA for ping/ring (either does Elitekeyboards before a hatefest pops up). It often goes away on it's own. Ping is as mysterious as ALPS.

The other keys? That's odd. Sure nobody else has been using your keyboard? Like a coke drinking sister?

I'm pretty sure that no one else has been using it. It's been like this since I got it, but until recently I've been paying extra much attention to it and it's seriously annoying.

The condition of this keyboard is still brand new. Haven't happened anything to it. Not a single spill. I even use the plastic cover on it if I eat in front of the computer while watching a movie or anything. I'm that paranoid.

Sadly not.

The switches just feel different to the other ones. It feels like they miss their little bump when I press them down (the bump is lighter, but I guess it's there, I barely feel it). Kinda hard to explain, someone would have to try them out to actually know what I mean.

Also, is it possible to remove the ringing somehow? ripster said that it gets removed on its own, but I'm inpatient. :(

Shame that all of these issues for a keyboard that costs £120...

I have a Ping mods thread here.

I need to update with pics sometime.

Do you think it's worth to contact the Keyboard Company regarding this?

Also I didn't get gold contacts, which is pretty rude of them. That's false marketing? It's clearly stated in the description of the keyboard that it's included.

Yes, you should contact them.

Let us know what they say.
ALL you need to know about Gold Crosspoint Contacts.

I love your way of trolling ripster, btw! But I do appreciate your help.

I did send an email before I read the replies, and I clearly stated that my keyboard didn't have a gold USB-contact. Which I guess Filco doesn't come with at all and I'll look like a dumb-ass.

Oh well. I did note the keys too, as well as the ringing sound on the backspace key.

We'll see what they'll reply with.

Ah, you mean THIS gold contact. Nope, camo only AFAIK.

And trolling is a bannable offense here.

I'm still posting thus it wasn't trolling.

I kept the keyboard but I could've gotten a full refund if I wanted to. The pinging is gone too.

Guess I was a bit paranoid as it was my first modern mechanical keyboard and I had too high expectations.

Thanks. The Keyboard Company has said they notice the ping often goes away on it's own. Nice response from the Keyboard Company.

I don't think Elitekeyboards takes keyboards back for ping since it's such a random thing.
