Sorry, no pic. Label says 1978. No brand. Cupped caps, colorful. No springs under the caps. Has PCB board. Any ideas, or is this too vague?

Can't tell without pics. Could be something nice, could just be a Stackpole waffle frame.

Seventies boards will be well made in any case. The industry hadn't invented "cheap" yet! There's still a wide range of how good things will feel, or whether they'll be interesting to us. But the bottom end of the market basically didn't yet exist.

I agree. Since the board is from such a robust age, it would probably be a good investment.
