If you have experience with soldering, buy a replacement switch and solder in a new switch

nope, this is my FIRST EVER mechanical keyboard and i don't know anything about soldering or tearing it apart, because i only got it a month ago and i have a 9-year warranty.

You have a warranty? Contact the keyboard's manufacturer and try to get it replaced. We're talking about literally the up key, correct? Not a large key like Shift? And have you tried taking off the keycap to see if the switch has a moulding defect or is uniform with all the other switches?

It looks the same as the all of the other keys and actually i bought it from a local shop called ggwp and i might try to return it there so maybe they will ship it back to zowie i think.
also thanks for actually helping me out, because i went on geekhack and asked for this like a month ago and still no one has replied.

If you don't know how to solder and a switch is broken, returning it is the best way to go.

Did you try different switches?

I'd return the board and go for a linear switch like reds or blacks. Brown and blues don't really add tactility, they just feel scratchy imho.

It could happen that switches feel different tough, this can be caused by stabilizers or key position or cap or a manufacturing error.

If you are as picky as I am, I'd recommend to return it and try another one or go straight for more even switch like I've mentioned earlier.

i've had it for 2 months now and the return policy is that i can only get my cash back within 15 days of purchase so i can't get a refund for it...
here are the return policies where i bought the keyboard maybe i can replace it with another keyboard? http://ggwp.pro/return-policy
