Agreed, the physical perfection of the SSK combined with the great buckling spring over capacitive switch is not really beatable. Possibly Beamspring in a SSK case but that's really quite far fetched IMO.

The things that would make the SSK unbeatable would be a spherical caps with centred legends, but most of all, just less greige. I guess greige is the magnolia emulsion of computing, but it seems to have dated more poorly. I love my SSKs, but I'm less enthusiastic about the way they look (I originally wrote "I hate", but that's a bit strong).

You should add two 1u keys between the alts and ctrls, the unsaver PCB has capsense pads that are connected in those locations.

Depends on the Unsaverm as some don't have them connected. Actually, I don't think any Unsaver has the left one connected, and the right one sends unusable code (or is it the other way around?).
And if proceeding with that, I would probably cut an M122 case to make it happen, and paint it. But, that's just me.

I'm not one for media keys, but if that's the concept, allow me to nitpick, and say the only thing I would change, is text legends on Tab, CapsLock and Backspace. And maybe, just maybe, put a green or blue Esc.

Unicomp is quite happy to print any 1u key in any color. I have Escapes in pearl and pebble, as well as bright white, red, and blue. If only they were as accommodating for larger keys .....
And I dislike the legends on their media keys.
