Practice Safe Hex: How do you enter base-16 numerals?

Whether I'm hacking in C and dealing with pointers, or entering git commit tags, I find myself entering a lot of hexadecimal numbers!

Without too much Googling I found the "IPv6 Buddy". It looks like a numpad re-mapped for hex input. I might make one for fun.

I've seen many variants over the years that perhaps place A-D on a column to the right of the numpad or whatever.

So, if you have a vintage hexadecimal input device, or whatever, please share it here!

The only IPv6 Buddy I would need is a brain transplant to make that unreadable garbage in any way tolerable. I don't know how stoned the team behind it had to be to let that rubbish out the door. Fortunately I'm still surviving without it.

Sure IPv6 is terrible, but there are plenty of other valid reasons for wanting to enter hexadecimal numbers on a regular basis.

As a 60% user it would defeat the objective to make hex entry easy. I mean, the whole point of 60% is a kind of circle-jerk sadomasochism.

If you want to go down the hex entry route, you want something extravagant:

(Admittedly it's only 16 keys (Micro Switch 16SD I assume) but you'd be able to squeeze on a few more I guess.)
