Extend ribbon cable

Im trying to mod a keyboard and it would require to move the controller but for this I have to extend the ribbon cable, would soddering or aplying conductive glue to sme cables and then sddering into the controller work>?

PD first post but long mech user I have been using a cherry 18xx for a long time but I always enjoy typing in this Fujitsu but is too big so im trying to mod it


EDIT I would have to extend both cables
