Can the 2u keys on Ergodox keysets (SA/DSA profile) be used both ways?

I mean can you use them vertically and horizontally?

Because the 2u keys on my Vortex PBT's are different. The + key on my numpad is straight at the top, the 0 key is slanted on the sides.

This means if I take the 0 key and turn it sideways, it doesn't fit that well.

All DSA profile keys are uniform (flat) row 3 and can be positioned on any row interchangeably, and oriented either vertically or horizontally.

An SA profile set, if sculptured, does not provide the same flexibility. A sculptured SA backspace will be row 2, the numpad 0 will usually be row 3 but is sometimes row 2/4, and the numpad + and Enter will be row 3. Only row 3 is orientation-neutral and can be used either vertically or horizontally.

The 2u keys on ErgoDox are typically row 3, which makes them orientation-neutral.

Also bear in mind that cylindrical keycaps (basically anything that isn't SA or DSA) don't have any symmetrical row profiles, and some of them don't even have a truly flat "row 3", which means keys are not movable or rotatable out of their intended rows and orientations.
