Heh, I share your sentiment about Americans taking over, and I also prefer the big ISO enter key. However, there's nothing to stop you using US international (or any other ANSI layout) on an ISO keyboard. The only difference between the two standards (apart from the extra key next to left shift on an ISO board) is that the key immediately above enter on an ANSI keyboard gets moved to the left of enter on an ISO keyboard.
