I thought that, too - hence the green smiley.depletedvespene wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 13:39I bet that one's for the cat and the real chair was pulled back for the photo-op.

Thanks for the kind words. I am definitely feeling fortunate being able collecting all those items in my office...
I do have a proper chair as well, but moved it out of the picture, as you might have guessed .

The viewing angle usually gets me there, seems most LCDs are made for the landscape orientation and have odd color/contrast shifts the other way. Could be I'm just picky. Since summer is rolling in I think I'm going to take this setup down though and go down to just dual 27" on the desktop and maybe that 27" for my laptop. Six displays seriously put out the heat, not to mention the extra heat from the extra graphics card in my box running those top 25" displays. Was nice during the winter though!

Come to think of it, the chair under my butt right now was manufactured in 1983. It's older than (almost) all the computer hardware I got. I don't know how much it did cost back in the day, but it's paid for itself several times over, I'd say.

Reinstated my trackball to my desk. As much as I want to use it before I struggle to keep it due to the long messy cable.
So decide to change the cable, and while I was on it did a led/glow mod and add 2 buttons.

I like this. What's with the reminder to "eat mor chikin"?
Very nice.Scarpia wrote: ↑20 Aug 2018, 07:51Can’t resist posting this, finally finished my Zenith/AEG laptop build so this is going to be my desktop for a while now.

For me it still one of the best glossy TNs available (W2207h, Innolux panel). As I only like glossy monitors and can't stand IPS glow, my guess is that the next upgrade will only happen when OLEDs become mass-produced

My computer room is not as claustrophobic as it looked in the last shot. Here's a wider angle:
The desk is facing a mirrored closet containing another 25 or so computers and keyboards.
(no, that little door behind the desk does not go into John Malkovich's head).

Also, this guy visits me regularly:
Just yesterday, he ran all over my Amiga 500, my Victor 9000, Atari 800XL and even my frigging IBM 3278 APL Beam Spring! (... and it's not the first time, either!) He stuffed a nut beside my Victor 9000. If he's anything like his father ("the orange guy"), he'll come back in a couple months to collect it. (...the little bastard!)
Here's that little guy hopping up on my leg:
He's not a pet. He's a wild squirrel who found out how to come through my screen door, come upstairs to my computer room and ask for some nuts.Just yesterday, he ran all over my Amiga 500, my Victor 9000, Atari 800XL and even my frigging IBM 3278 APL Beam Spring! Dat Atari...
Too bad. You could have become rich by hiring John Malkovich, telling him to imagine a keyboard with X, X and X features, and then picking it up.mr_a500 wrote: ↑26 Jul 2019, 18:58(no, that little door behind the desk does not go into John Malkovich's head).

You mean the 800XL or the 600XL? (I also have 2 more 800XLs and 1 NOS in box 800XL) Notice there is a SDrive NUXX attached to the 800XL. (and a NOS Tac 2 joystick)
The Amiga 500 has a Viper 520 accelerator, DCTV, etc..

Yes, that's my (NOS) ALPS SKFL 800XL. Sitting on the Kaypro "New 2", there's Futaba ML 600XL.depletedvespene wrote: ↑26 Jul 2019, 23:02I only see the 800XL on the right side of the picture, resting above the Amiga.
That damn little guy ran over my keyboards again! First, he tried out the Dasher, then hopped onto the beam spring.
(I think he preferred the beam spring, but he didn't say.)
This is a really nice picture, thank you for making my day! It was too hard to take a clear picture!

Just reconfigured things after getting a new PC. The cables hanging from the desk are all the USB cables I find myself needing all the time. I'm trying to figure out a way to organize them a little bit.
