It kind of works in a similar sense to the TEX Shinobi, in other words, it kind of attempts to solve the same issues the 7 row QWERTY keyboard layout attempts to solve.
Grant the user every key of a full sized keyboard within home row position distance, and having the ability to move the computer cursor around equally as easy.
Now this Tap Strap 2 thing takes the inverse of that.
In "mouse mode" it more a less is a weird approximation of a mouse except without a physical mouse in hand.
So unlike a 7 row keyboard with the trackpoint on it, ergonomics wise that of course is less easy.
The keyboard inputs is where things get weird.
Instead of using QWERTY, the company that made the Tap Strap 2 developed their own weird method of inputting the various keys.
Now the Tap Strap 2 is basically 5 rings worn on one hand.
To input a key, each key as a specific gesture associated with it.
So the common most keys only use one finger,
less common keys are basically piano chords esk. to input, etc.
With that said, again, back to the title, where would this thing even fit in the keyboard/mouse world?
Its also EXPENSIVE. Be it very portable lol.
The best description I can give it, imagine the Bluetooth earbuds with their charging case.
Imagine that but it is a mouse and keyboard at the same time.
I could see this being useful for portability reasons, but again, I couldn't find much about the device in question.
The only obvious information I could find is, having every single keyboard function available (remember that this only uses one hand). , it is a portability monster because of the ladder, the learning curve is higher than most keyboards(? if it even counts as one), and its expensive.

I wanted to start a discussion on it because it is one of the strangest things I've ever seen in a "keyboard".
Mainly because it debatably isn't even one.
Same thing with it's "mouse mode". (The 1,000 DPI mode, not the "Air Mouse" mode thing)
I wanted to categorize it due to a casual project I'm working on, but again, I'm not even sure where the this thing even fits in category wise! I also couldn't even find anyone talking about it on other places like Reddit and Youtube. Youtube in particular is just all influencer techies nonsense. All that just boils down to "this is wEiRd!" which isn't helpful lol
