It was more just me having too many extra caps and wanting to make the keyboard look purposeful again. I was originally going for a compass type thing with North South East and West, which of course makes zero sense being on a keyboard lol

It makes sense if you play a lot of terminal RPG's. You're always moving in cardinal directions, so it works out rather well. You built the perfect Nethack keyboard and didn't even know it.
