Can someone tell me if these Alps are real? I'm new to the hobby

Hi there, I had an acquaintance sell me some Alps blue switches. I realized I made an impulse purchase without doing due diligence, but could someone let me know if these switches are legitimate? I hear that there are clones for these types of switches. Also, are they "bamboo" or "pine", and what does that mean for these switches? Thanks in advance!

Those are the real thing. All blue Alps (as far as I know) are pine, which means they have slits in the upper housing next to the slider.Vendetta wrote: 11 Feb 2022, 06:33 Hi there, I had an acquaintance sell me some Alps blue switches. I can say the switch looks unused. I'll also agree on "pine" and "Alps."
I don't like the pics because they're lit very poorly and even the black housing also looks blueish on my monitor. The slider looks almost green in some of the pics. It's obviously not SKCL green (no LED cutout) and probably not SKCM green, though.
So, I'd withhold my "blue" verdict until I see better pics. Or unless the other posters in this thread are going off mold numbers or something.

I can the admit the photos aren't the best, they are definitely blue stems though. Here's a "better" photo:
