I just missed an ebay auction of a older compaq keyboard, which in my opinion just looks like a G80-1500. Now I asked myself if Compaq ever sold relabled G80-1500?

I know about the Compaq G80-11800 but never heard of 1500.

Whats your opinion of the picture? Better pictures are not available as the auction only had one.

My guess is keytronic foam and foils in the best case, early compaq RDs in the worst. Only one way to find out though...^^

That is not Key Tronic's font.

I thought a lot about those.
Seller already sold 2 boards like these and they were dubbed "RT101".
Didn't ever gave a sane response to me asking about the Model # of this.
Google did bring up a Geekhack thread were afair sixty pointed out: Rubberdome.
Whoever wants to check:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Compaq-RT101-RT ... 0933334352
but made in Thailand doesn't really indicate Cherry.

Hey thanks for your answers! I think its obviously no G80-1500 clone, if you look at the pictures in the auction which kint provided.

There are some newer RT101's(they don't look anything like this one) that are rubber dome.

It's most likely RD but there is a slight chance it has Fujitsu switches, I'll do more research tomorrow.

Compaq only used Cherry for a couple keyboards. The G80-11801LPAUS (compaq part number 185152-001) and the G80-1838HPU (compaq part number 185367-001) are the easiest to find. There are also some European and Japanese variants of these, but I don't know the compaq part numbers, which is how I have found them most easy to find for sale NIB. The Japanese 11802LPAJA is probably the only JIS layout Cherry G80 I have ever seen. Defineatly one I have an eye out for.
