Hi! this is my first post. Recently, I purchased my second mechanical keyboard: a Noppoo Choc Mini. I was wondering how to paint the key caps of the keyboard. Unlike other posts I actually want to cover the key legends (labels). I also want to paint the ESC key red as I think it looks frickin awesome!
I was wondering if you guys know what type of paint I should use?
I am not too worried about the red paint in the ESC key wearing of as I use mechanical keyboards for typing (no games).

I'm not an expert, but I think they are going to recommend you dyeing instead of painting. If you have a black Noppoo, dyeing sounds reasonable to make disappear white legends, if the plastic of the keycaps is able to resist the heat during the process. Probably getting a red Cherry MX keycap for the ESC key is much easy and reasonable that trying to paint it.

There have been some discussions on painting plastic (mostly cases) with spray paint, which i think could apply to keycaps as well. But you need to sand and paint them repeatedly to get a nice result which is an insane amount of work for all the keycaps. Dying is probably easier but with black keycaps you will only be able to dye them black and make the legend disappear. If you want other colors you need to start with white or light gray caps and dye them. With spraypaint you have no such limitations.

I think there are more. Just search paint in the workshop and you find plenty of threads around painting / dying keycaps and keyboards.
