Trackpoint position / Button position?

i think about the trackpoint position.
normal you find it between G and H above B.

But i think i would only use a trackpoint with the right index finger.
So i would put it between H and J above N to feel more comfortable.

What do you think?
Is there somebody uses his TrackPoint with both left and right fingers?

And if i move the trackpoint position why not move the buttons?
What do you use to press the trackpointbuttons?
Left thumb? Left and right thumb?

Interested in your opinions! Would be happy if you leave a comment and your usage for trackpoints.
(every day, once a week etc)

I have never used one but it would make more sense.

I use a trackpoint point on my thinkpad everyday; I'd say that it's perfect just as it is.

I use the trackpad with my right finger and the buttons with my right thumb. Why would you want to move it to a different location? Surely it's better in the middle of the keyboard? How are you going to move the buttons? I take it you're talking about a homebrew mod?

I use the trackpoint with my right index finger and press the buttons with left and right thumb.
For my usage, the position between H and J with buttons still centered seems a little bit more comfortable.

Unfortunately, with my new HP laptop, the quality is terrible: the track point cap doesn't stay in place and last but not least it near impossible to press the left button correctly with my thumb :(

i do some testing. Now i would place the buttons in the center. So i could use both thumbs.
The Trackpoint H and J above N seems to be the best for me...

The project: I will add a Trackpoint to a Tirpo. One more alternate for a working keyboard :D
